Allen and Amy Barlow have been married for twenty-two years. Allen is a graduate of the University of Montevallo and co-owns Homewood School of Music. He also plays in several bands that play around Birmingham and the southeast as a professional guitarist. Amy is a graduate of UAB with a degree in elementary education, which she sort of uses as she homeschools their three children. She also works part time for Shipt, a grocery delivery service. Their children are Laney, fifteen, a sophomore who enjoys music, theater and the arts. Jude is thirteen and in eighth grade and also enjoys art and flipping off of things. Zane is eleven and is in sixth grade and enjoys sports and playing the drums. Allen is a native of West Virginia and Amy is a native of Birmingham. They have lived in Pelham for sixteen years.
They began visiting CCC in the fall of last year. Their journey to finding this church home seems like a long and perilous journey. The Lord’s graciousness in this church family has been a huge blessing to all of them. The kindness and warmth felt from the first Sunday they visited to the joy of fellowship in living life together day to day now has encouraged and emboldened them all in their walk and their faith.
Believing God can and will do amazing things through a local group of people committed to His purpose, the Barlows are deeply thankful to be a part of this faith family and pray that God uses them and the church in our community and the world beyond for His great glory. They would like to thank CCC for their love for them and all the ways the Lord has blessed them through this faith family. They endeavor to in turn share His love with other new members following in this beautiful path of grace and to others outside the church.
