Phil Chambers - Pastor
Phil is the church planting pastor of Christ Community Church. He is married to Jennifer and father of Lily and Kate.
After growing up in Athens, GA, Phil moved to Birmingham, AL to attend Samford University where he received a Marketing degree. Upon completion of his MDiv degree, he moved to Brisbane Australia to pioneer a university ministry for two years. He returned to Birmingham with a desire to see his city and the nations impacted with the reality of Jesus. In 2009, the vision for Christ Community was hatched. Phil enjoys dancing with Lily and playing the Wii with Kate, an early morning run, freshly brewed coffee, Ultimate frisbee and watching people fall in love with Jesus.
David Cunningham - Pastor
David grew up in Georgia before attending Samford University in Birmingham, AL. He's married to Susan and has four children.
In 1998 David and Susan moved to Brisbane, Australia with Mission to the World to serve Christ in university ministry and church planting. After thirteen years of service in Australia, David joined Christ Community's ministry team to help them fulfill their vision of "Making Disciples Who Make Much of Jesus." David's desire is to see people grasp the "amazing-ness" of God's grace in Christ and for it to transform the way they view God, themselves, and the world.
Justin Driver - Head Musician
Justin and his wife Lisa are metro Atlanta natives. They met while attending the University of Georgia and have lived in Helena since 2008. They have one son named Alexander. Justin has spent over ten years as a musician in contemporary church settings. He brings a unique brand of americana and folk influenced arrangements to traditional hymns, rearranged hymns, and modern worship songs. He is passionate about directing the Christ Community Church congregation in worship through song and desires to reach out to the immediate community using music and other arts.
Adele Gilchrist - Administrative Assistant
Adele was born in Birmingham and has lived here most of her life. She is a widow with 3 grown children. She has enjoyed working with Phil as his assistant for the last seven years. She brings a lot of passion and energy to Christ Community Church. Her gifts include administration, discernment and exhortation. She loves the beach, the Crimson Tide, ministering to women and spending time with her children.
Karen Dover - Children's Director
Karen is married to Matt and they have two boys, Ryan and Jacob. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, she attended the University of Montevallo and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After being in the accounting field for years, she has enjoyed being a stay at home mom and working some with the MDO program at OMPC. She and her family love being part of the community of Helena, where they have lived for the past eight years.
