The reason we give financially to missions is our conviction that these words are true: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Those who are without Christ are lost, and we need to tell them. Either we tell a lost world with our own words or through the words of another that we financially support.
Please make a Faith Promise pledge this Sunday if you are a Christ Community Church member. I know that making a pledge to give money that you don’t have is hard. In fact, it is stressful. But imagine how fun it will be to see how God provides it for you? There have been times in the past that I laughed or cheered out loud when I saw the hand of God to meet my Faith Promise. He is a lavish Giver, so He will meet your pledge.
Here are ways that God may provide your faith promise:
(1) Through sacrifice – Giving up something you enjoy or no longer need will free up money. Examples: cancelling a gym membership, eating out less, etc.
(2) Through creativity – You can generate money through the creative use of skills and resources. Examples: babysitting, garage sales, consulting, etc.
(3) Through unexpected income – God may provide it to you through an unexpected financial blessing.
(4) Through abundance – Maybe you have discretionary money that you can use to meet your faith promise pledge.
We will receive our Faith Promise pledge this Sunday, February 21st. If you will not be there this Sunday, you can email your 2016 pledge amount to Adele Gilchrist at email@example.com. Let’s express our commitment to these words: “How will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?" (Rom. 10:14). Because someone proclaimed the Gospel to you, you are a Christian. Let’s extend the same grace to others Here and There.
So all nations will hear,
